Coface Levels Up: Meet the New CEO & Country Manager for the Gulf Coast and Egypt

Mohamad Jomaa is Flexing His Leadership Muscle

Big news flying out of the financial hubs – Coface has just tapped Mohamad Jomaa as its fresh face in the Gulf countries and Egypt. Based out of Dubai, Mohamad will be charting the ship straight to Ernesto De Martinis, the Region CEO for Mediterranean Africa, while keeping the team tight and focused.

Who’s on the Deck?

  • Sandrine Sarikey – Country Manager for the United Arab Emirates, ready to rally the UAE battalion.
  • Noaman Ashour – Country Manager for Egypt, handling local operations in the land of pharaohs.

They’ll report directly to Mohamad, who has been on the North American stage as the COO for the region before adding a Canadian chapter to his résumé. He landed at Coface Canada in 2014, sprinting from the role of Chief Commercial Officer to a pivotal Country Manager position. Over 22 years of globe‑trotting in trade credit insurance, risk handling, and international trade have turned Mohamad into a seasoned veteran, with board stints including the Receivables Insurance Association of Canada.

Why This Move Matters

Mohamad’s arrival is poised to turbo‑charge Coface’s expansion across the Gulf and Egypt. Strategic multichannel growth and robust local partnerships are at the forefront of his agenda – all to keep that weighty “protecting business” vibe rolling smoothly.

So buckle up, Gulf states and Egypt, because it looks like Coface is stepping up the game with a captain who’s got a decades‑long track record in the insurance world.
