Members of The Camping and Caravanning Club have voted Hill View campsite near Llandysul in Carmarthenshire the best Certificated Site for 2022.

What Are Certificated Sites?

Certificated Sites are compact campsites that can host up to five caravans or motorhomes and ten tents simultaneously. Over 1,200 of these sites are scattered throughout the UK, each operating privately with a spectrum of facilities:

Basic sites – no or minimal amenities
Intermediate sites – basic showers and toilets
Advanced sites – full showers, toilets, and sometimes extra conveniences

Emma Canning, the owner of Hill View campsite, shared her journey:

“I lost my hospitality job due to Covid. I always loved talking to people, so I spoke to my mother‑in‑law who owns the land about setting up a site.”

“She told me to go for it, as long as I was responsible for running the site and taking bookings.”
