American Express and the IDA Foundation are back with their Backing International Small Restaurants grant program, knocking in the fourth year of support for the UK. If you run a cosy corner café, a hipster gastropub, or a family‑run noodle shop in either London or Manchester, you’re in luck.
How the Grant Works
- Each of the 20 lucky recipients will get £11,000.
- The UK portion of the programme totals £220,000.
- Applications close on 30 June – so grab your coffee and start the paperwork today!

Beyond the UK
Global reach is getting even bigger. The programme now opens doors in France, New Zealand, and Spain, alongside the usual suspects: Australia, Canada, Japan, and Mexico. A total of $1.45 million is on the table for 100 restaurants worldwide.
