- Hardship Grants Still On: The scheme works alongside the £2,000 grants from the British Gas Energy Trust.
Why Now?
Summer’s almost over, and the winter heating crisis has already rattled thousands. British Gas launched the scheme in June 2024 and has already lifted the energy burden for many. The extension means even more people can tap into £10 million in support—part of a massive £140 million package that also funds advice centres and charities.
