Britvic, coffee‑soda king of the UK, is revamping its London plant with a hefty £8 million spend to boost efficiency and cut emissions. The initiative is a joint venture with the Government’s £4.4 million grant from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Heat Recovery – Turning Waste into Green Energy

Installation of a brand‑new heat‑recovery system at the Beckton site.
Re‑uses waste heat from existing machinery, upscales it, and circulates it across the plant via a low‑temperature hot water network.
Replaces the carbon‑heavy steam system, shifting 50 % of the heat demand away from fossil fuels.
Projected to slash emissions by roughly 1,200 tonnes a year – the same amount of energy used by about 500 UK homes.
