RAOB Brotherhood Steps In To Aid La Marina Food Bank
The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB), of Patience Lodge 2177, heard that the local charity in La Marina village was struggling to maintain its food bank. The Brotherhood opened its doors to help.
About the Local Charity: AAN
The Asociación de Ayuda Necesitado (AAN) is an “Association of Aid to the Needy” run by husband‑wife duo Steve and Brenda Bently. Their mission: purchase food, cleaning and hygienic items and distribute them to the La Marina community.
Lodge Secretary’s Role
Brother Dave Tonge, the Lodge Secretary, opened a Roll of Honour to reach out to AAN, asking if the Brotherhood could support the charity in any capacity.
Fundraiser Success
Following the outreach, the RAOB quickly organized a fundraiser. Over €1,000 was raised, enabling the AAN to restock its food bank with fresh provisions.
