London’s First Online Careers Fair Lets Youngsters Browse the Future
Guess what? The City of London Corporation has swapped the Guildhall’s chandeliers for a digital stage, hosting the Capital’s inaugural Virtual Careers Festival for London’s next generation of go-getters.
When & Where
- Dates: 29 June – 3 July
- Venue: All online – no need to wear a suit (unless you’re joining from the office, much as you please)
Who’s Joining the Show
Top‑notch organisations bring their A‑games to the online arena:
- Bloomberg – the masters of money and markets
- Education & Employers – tackling the biggest questions for students
- London Southbank University – because a degree isn’t the only ticket to success
- PWC – accounting, auditing, culturechecks
- NatWest – banking made accessible
- Metropolitan Police Service – keep London safe and justice
Why It Matters
Last year, our first Physical Festival shone, connecting over 5,000 students to 120 organisations. This year we’re taking the concept online, breaking down borders and only leaving one bar for excitement. The aim is straightforward:
- Introduce young Londoners to a rainbow of career possibilities around the city and beyond.
- Ignite their imagination, accelerate skill development and spark future ambitions.
- Make learning accessible, interactive, and fun without the need for a travel itinerary.
A Word from the Chair
Caroline Haines, Chair of the London Careers Festival, expressed her enthusiasm: “This year’s Virtual LCF will open doors for London’s creatively diverse youth. It offers them knowledge, support and practical sessions with forward‑thinking organisations. Let’s keep students empowered!”
