CoStar’s New‑Hire: Mohamad Jomaa Takes the Helm of GCC & Egypt
Meet the new captain of Coface’s Gulf region! Mohamad Jomaa has stepped into the role of CEO and Country Manager for the GCC subregion and Egypt, and he’s based right in the buzzing city of Dubai.
Reporting Chain Gets a Simple Twist
Mohamad will report straight to Ernesto De Martinis, the big boss of the Mediterranean Africa region. In the rear‑end it’s Sandrine Sarikey (UAE) and Noaman Ashour (Egypt) who will now answer to Mohamad.
From North America to the Gulf
Before this move, Mohamad spent several years in the United States, where he ran the North America office as Chief Operating Officer. He’s been with Coface Canada since 2014, first as Chief Commercial Officer and later as the country’s top dog.
22 Years of Trade‑Credit Brilliance
With more than two decades on the international stage, Mohamad’s expertise spans trade‑credit insurance, risk management, and global trade. He’s even dabbed on industry boards – including the Canadian Receivables Insurance Association.
What’s On the Horizon?
Mohamad’s arrival is all about accelerating growth in the Gulf and Egypt by sharpening Coface’s multi‑channel strategy and reinforcing local partnerships. Think of it like turning a trusted compass into a high‑tech GPS – the big picture stays the same, but the route gets a lot more precise.
