What the Congress is all about

The International Camping Congress (ICC) brings together camp teachers, outdoor educators, researchers, and industry experts from every corner of the globe. Every three years, these professionals convene to share their hands‑on camp experiences, the newest research on youth development, and the latest trends shaping outdoor education. The congress also offers a platform to showcase the host country’s culture and history.

History of the International Camping Federation (ICF)

Founded in 1987, the ICF is the worldwide association of camp professionals who unite their passion, expertise, and dedication to the camp experience. Over four decades, the ICF has organized twelve congresses in twelve distinct locations. Past congresses have taken place in the following places:
