SAS Keeps Winning: Europe’s Top Workplace Award Strikes Again!
SAS has done it—once more, it’s branded as one of the Best Workplaces in Europe by Great Place to Work. The secret sauce? A mix of creative collaboration, inspirational vibes, and a culture that feels more like a family gathering than an office.
The Pulse Behind the Award
Great Place to Work surveyed over 1.46 million employees across Europe. Their goal: spot which companies are not only surviving the pandemic but thriving by caring for staff, customers, and communities.
What Makes SAS Shine?
- Global Tapestry: 60 countries, countless cultures, and a wild blend of background stories.
- Idea‑Free Zone: All thoughts are welcomed—no idea is too small or too big.
- Respect as Currency: Unique contributions? Massive respect earned.
- Trust‑Driven Leadership: Leaders who walk the talk, boosting trust and sparking innovation.
Because of this, employees feel truly happy—and that translates into a work‑life balance that isn’t just a buzzword.
Spotlight on Europe’s Best
From Austria to the UK, SAS’s name pops on nearly every country’s top workplace lists. It’s also on the People’s 50 Companies That Care list and a Fast Company Best Workplace for Innovators award.
Voices from the Top
“The COVID‑19 pandemic highlights how critical it is for organisations to establish great workplaces for all employees prior to crises,” says Michael C. Bush, Global CEO of Great Place to Work.
“The trust, care, and agility that are the bedrock of Europe’s best workplaces help these organisations, their people, and their communities survive—and actually thrive—during periods of significant economic and personal stress.”
How the List Is Built
Great Place to Work breaks the European prize into three tiers:
- Small & Medium (20–499 employees)
- Large (500+ employees)
- Multinational (1,000+ worldwide, 40% outside HQ)
To qualify, a firm must appear on at least one national Best Workplace list in any of Austria, Greece, Spain, Germany, the UK, and 54 others. Multinationals earn extra credit for messing around with culture across borders.
