Ukraine Faces a Second Night of Heavy Russian Airstrikes
President Zelensky Yells For Real Action
On Saturday, Zelensky voiced a powerful demand across Telegram—the world can’t just keep talking while Russia pummels cities.
- “We saw how the world reacted to the last strike. Now, Moscow is proving that words mean nothing when it’s about to launch fresh attacks.”
- “Moscow used the time set aside for a leaders‑level meeting to plan new massive raids.”
- “The only way to give Diplomacy a chance again is with tough measures: sanctions on banks, on energy, or anyone backing the Russian army.”
Zelensky’s take was clear: Political chatter is not enough—global allies need concrete moves. He called on the US, Europe, and the rest of the world to step up.
The Scale of the Overnight Assault
Across 14 Ukrainian regions, the night’s attacks sparked fires and left civilian infrastructure shattered.
- Nearly 540 drones were launched.
- 8 ballistic missiles sailed over the countryside.
- Other 37 missiles targeted civilian sites.
Tragically, at least one person is confirmed dead—a lost life that’s hard enough to process. Many more—kids included—were wounded. An ordinary apartment building turned into a battlefield.
Global Response Needed – And Needed Fast
Zelensky’s message to the world rings with urgency:
“This war won’t stop with polite declarations. It needs real steps. We expect the U.S., Europe, and the entire globe to act now.”
He’s making it plain that the only way forward is through tougher sanctions and broader support for Ukraine.
